Are you a pimple picker, like I am?
This is a super vulnerable photo but I want to be honest. I’m a pimple mutilator. Well, a 𝘳𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘦𝘥 pimple picker mutilator. I have had a lot of hormonal cystic acne and used to be in the habit of picking it until I bled. Then it would scab and I would pick the scab too. I had no idea what I was doing to my skin! Scars and hyperpigmentation were so normal for me, I just thought that’s what everyone did! 🤷🏼♀️
Thankfully, I have repaired and erased a lot of the damage I have done to my face and neck with regular skin treatments and an amazing skin care regimen. I’m not proud of the picking I’ve done and I’m not doing a perfect job at not picking, but I’m being intentional about avoiding it. Have you seen a skin therapist lately?
